How to make it stop adding calories to my daily goal- I don't want to eat back calories i've burned!

For example
i have my calorie goal set to 1400 calories total a day with 123C/140P/39F
It adds up at the top how many calories i have eaten and subtracts it from my total goal of 1400 to show how many I have left for the day. Perfect.
Now that I have it synced with my fitbit it also adds in more calories for exercise so in total it's telling me to eat 1986 calories and 200grams of protein instead of 140!
HOW DO I MAKE IT STOP?!
I do not want to eat back those calories I have burned.
I have already tried checking the box in settings allowing negative adjustments to calories but that didn't do anything.
Please help!

You don't...MFP is a NEAT method calculator...that's how you account for exercise with the NEAT method.

Maybe don't link it with Fitbit? And then just put exercise in the notes section rather than logging it if you still want to have a record of it.

Don't follow the MFP NEAT method then which is designed for you to lose weight if you don't exercise but if you do for you to eat those calories back.

Overwrite your goals with a cut from TDEE instead - manual setting

    and unsynch your fitbit

Unsync your fitbit....though I don't know why you wouldn't want to use the info to guide you. The fact that it keeps adding calories is telling you that you've underestimated your activity levels (probably you are calling yourself sedentary?) in determining how many calories you need to eat for weight loss.

like others have said, unsync your fitbit. then, log your exercise as 1 calorie burned, or don't log it at all. easy peazy.

I understand your frustration. I am in the same boat. I use the excel extraction tool and pull all of my info out, along with exercise, into an excel sheet that tracks everything. I need to have my exercises logged for it to be accurate but I don't like to eat back my calories either. Sadly, there's no option for that in MFP. You will just have to remember what your goals are and stick to them. yeah it's a PITA but not much we can do about it. or you can just unlink your fitbit...
