Don't know what to do

so I've been working on getting my "perfect body" since 7th grade. I've finally found a diet and exercise plan that works for me and I've been working really hard, but progression is slow. My boyfriend doesn't work as hard as me and was excited about getting more ab muscles and sent me a picture of his progress that he's gotten over the past months. He knows my stomach is a sensitive area for me and how hard I struggle to achieve my goals. I want to be happy for him, but seeing how much progress he's made in a short amount of time really bums me out. How do I deal with this?

You keep doing what you've been doing.
And you remind yourself that your boyfriend's body is different from your body, and it's going to lose fat and gain muscle at different rates and in different places from him.
And that's a good thing. You wouldn't be nearly as cute with a hairy chest.
Just keep focusing on you, doing what you're doing. Don't make your workouts about him.0 -

1. There's no such thing as a perfect body.
2. Don't compare yourself to anyone else - your body is uniquely your own.
3. Dudes have an easier time building muscle.
You focus on you, and be happy for him. Try to view him as your partner, not your competition.
Good luck!0 -
Bodies are different. In my experience, the men in my life have always made progress faster than me or other women! You're doing a great job and should keep the focus on yourself. The end result is going to be so rewarding0
