Here's a fun story!

So I was on my way to the gym tonight, when I heard a bunch of commotion in my apartment complex. I looked around, and saw a group of 3 young tweens tip over a porta-potty that the roofers have been using while they re-roof our apartment.

They pushed it over, spilling **** all over, and took off running as fast as they could. I was seeing red in seconds, dropped my workout gear, and sprinted almost 2 blocks after them before I caught them. I grabbed them and started giving them a lecture about acting like a bunch of wannabe gangster hoodlums, and made them come back and put it back up (While it's covered in crap. Gross.) Then I continued the lecture about next time I was calling the cops, don't act like little douches.

When I got to the gym, I had the most pumped workout I've had in months, I was psyched and tearing it up. A little adrenaline goes a long way!

The moral of this story is: I wasn't even out of breath! I was able to sprint to them and CATCH the fast little F***ers, without even getting winded. A year ago, I would never have been able to catch them, and if I had, I would have passed out in front of them from lack of oxygen.

This is my little success story, and I'm pumped to keep the hard work up now!

Good for you! They deserved a lot worse than you gave them. Glad you got such a great workout in afterwards!

I WANTED to literally knock some sense into them, but that would have gotten me arrested. I'm not big on the whole arrested thing ;)

    This made me laugh!!

Congrats on going after them (there's an element of bravery to that, you know! Not sure what sort of neighbourhood you were in, but there are some places where that might not have been the best call, hahah), and catching them, AND being scary enough to get them to go back and fix it!

Start thinking about your superhero costume - you're almost ready for the spandex.

I haven't had a speeding ticket in 5 years... the last time I was pulled over I was about 19 and I was able to play off the officers ego.. he was pretty cocky so I told him he was hot and he blushed and let me go... Looking back I laugh, but totally wouldn't suck up to a cop now.
  • ha! that is awesome. you are basically my new hero lol

Amazing job!! For most of us that would be a, "I wish I ran after them and did SOMETHING" story. I'm so glad you stepped it up and actually did something! How awesome! Love it! :)
