I've lost what?!

Options
This week I finally dropped to the 20 pound mark and I am wondering what I can compare my weight loss to.
This is what I've come up with:
The average American woman's purse weighs 23 pounds (I've almost lost my purse!)
Ice comes in 20 pound bags
Average car tire is 20 pounds

I'm sure there are plenty more...I just can't think of them. Suggestions!?

I rarely carry a purse because my husband and son think it should carry all their junk too..that's how you get a 23 pound purse!

A gallon of milk weighs 8.6 pounds....that's a good one to realize every day.

After I lost over 50 pounds I was carrying a bag of dog food into the house and realized that it was a little less then I lost (it was 48.6 pounds). So yeah - finding things like that really help keep you motivated.

(Side note - I spend the next 10 minutes going up and down the stairs carrying that bag of dog food to keep reminding myself)

Well, we hope it's fat you've lost! So, next time you are in the grocery store, go look at the cubes of butter. If you can even find 20 packages of butter in the store, that's what 20 pounds of fat is. And believe me, it's a lot. I went in once and picked up 5, one pound packages and was amazed that I'd lost that much weight. Doesn't seem like much on my body, but man alive, looking at that much fat in my hands impressed me.

A car tire is only 20lbs?? Really? Maybe it's cuz they are so awkward that they seem like they weigh more!

LOL about the hubs & son thinking her purse was a carry-all for them! I totally hear that! When we went to Vegas, my BF said, "honey will you bring your big purse so that you can carry..." and proceeded to list enough crap to require a pack mule! Needless to say, my purse was big enough to fit a tube of lip gloss & my ID!

I my first time when I lost 100lbs (gained a bunch back but thats another story) I was at the gym doing shoulder presses with two 50lb dumbells and it just hit me that I used to carry that around all the time. It just doesn't seem possible.

The combined weight of two cats. I've lost just a little more than that and find it amazing to think it's the combined weight of my two large, overweight cats! I know how heavy they are when they both sit on top of me at once.

Twenty boxes of butter! Body fat and butter have basically the same density too, so just imagine strapping 20 boxes of butter to your body. Good riddance!

No longer having to carry around the World’s Largest Ball of Tape and the fact that I now weigh less than Arnold Schwarzenegger just about rounds out a perfect day ;)
