hello everything. I have been tracking my calories for a week now and have been having a hard time meeting calorie intake needs. What foods are available that are high calories, protein and low in carbs and fat. Thanks

You can eat any food you desire. Macros are not all that important for general weight loss.
  • Peanut butter and a banana is a great snack that's high in calories but also excellent for nutrition. After you exercise, have a glass of chocolate milk. It restores your sugar, adds nutrients and doesn't weigh down your stomach - great for recovery.

You need to be high in fat if you want to go low carb. Look up LCHF, for example.

And fat is pretty important, actually, so a low fat diet is probably not the best option anyway, unless your doctor has given you specific instructions.

Fat, carbs and protein are called "macro nutrients". Emphasis on "nutrients".

You're better off always hitting your calorie target, *however* you accomplish that. Over time, you'll notice what foods promote success for you -- feeling well, energetic, satiated, and not emotionally craving All The Things -- and you will incorporate more of THOSE foods and less of others.
  • Thanks. And yeah I agree I'm noticing that the majority of my food is low calorie so I have to eat a lot more of it to reach calories. Im also doing IMF which makes it hard sometime to reach my goal in a small time frame

Focusing on long term goals is going to be more satisfying.

Sirloin, pork chops, chicken thighs, omlettes, salmon, tuna, rice, sweet potatoes, white potatoes, . . . . . sour cream, mayo, butter,
. . broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, yellow squash, winter squash, romaine,
Start building food habits for the long haul.
