Looking for a Mentor

There are a lot of newbies looking for mentors that have posted on the MFP mentor discussion. I have read at least through the first 10 pages of the list of mentors and I have sent some emails out. However, I am looking for a mentor that is willing to work with me to find the perfect dietary fit and then later on figure out incorporating fitness and a gym membership to my hectic schedule. I have been on my third week of gluten, lactose and reduced sugar and starch diet due to health concerns and it has been interesting. I am hungry....that is the just of it. I have no problem with being accountable and I have no problem with a straight forward no *kitten* approach, or some people say tough love. Please if you are interested and truly committed then I would love to have you as a mentor! Thanks....

I don't think I can be very helpful to you but I did want to say maybe it would be worth checking out some of the paleo groups? It sounds like your dietary needs might be pretty in line with what they follow? Or if you have specific condition causing all these dietary requirements you can seach for groups with that.
Unfortunately currently there is an issue with MFP where you can't really search the groups, and there are like a bazillion of them so thumbing through is not a great option, if you google "MFP groups paleo" or somehting like that you should be able to narrow it down in a roundabout way.

Your best bet is to higher a online coach or someone who lives around you. You're asking for a paid service for free.... which really isn't fair is it? Anyone experienced would charge you so the level of service you will receive for "free" won't be "great".
The other option would be to spend the time and do some research and learn...0 -

I have learned through experience there is something to learn from everyone, and there is some out there that would love to make a positive impact on my situation. I am a chef I am not, uneducated on my situation, and I thought it would be nice to have someone that has already gone through, what I am going through. Don't worry my free help will be better then none. I am appreciative of all help that I can get, and am willing to offer any help that I can give. Thanks0 -

Sorry but I don't find this nice at all. Does everything have to have a price tag on it?
I am 43 years old, have done every diet under the sun, took diet pills, fasted for days at a time and none of it worked. In January 2014 after reading many posts on MFP I finally thought I knew how to finally do this! From January thru April I wasn't able to lose any weight, I just maintained. Couldn't figure out why as I was 'measuring' all my foods. I read someone's post who seemed to be in the same position as me and someone told her she was eating more than she thought. I took offense to his response even tho it wasn't my post, as of course I knew what I was eating because I was measuring. A link was put up to a Youtube video and I watched it in utter disbelief. This guy was right! Measuring my foods was not accurate and I was consuming more than I thought, goodbye deficit - weighing is a must! So in April this finally hit home but I got lazy and let the year get away from me. I have read a ton of posts here and figured out who knows their stuff and read everything they had to say.
Started back on my journey on January 19 this year and in 69 days I am down 6.2 lbs of fat, 15 inches and 1.7% body fat. Monday I will be back at the gym (been off for about 3 weeks). I aim to reach my calorie and macro goals and I have been able to fit in chocolate and ice cream every single day. I've recently added in a Fiber 1 brownie also
I gave all my learned knowledge to a co-worker and she started her journey on Jan. 22. She is down 8.6 lbs, 12 inches and 1.6% body fat.
I would be happy to give 'free' advice, however it would be knowledge that I learned from the gurus on this site
Feel free to add me
