When to eat?

Needing help!! I work weekend nights 7p-7am and then I flip my schedule Monday morning to readjust my sleep schedule. I have been wondering if I should eat during my night at work? Or should I wake up during the day to eat at certain times? I don't want to be tired for work and need at least 7/8 hrs of uninterupted sleep to feel rested. Any help would be appreciated!

I usually eat around every 2 hours... It's what works for me... I pack breakfast & lunch and then several 100 (or about) calorie snacks for each work day... this keeps me from being hungry and keeps my energy up

You don't have to eat exactly the same number of calories every single day. Why not have an extra meal on the day that you stay up a longer time, and skip a meal during the day that you're catching up on the sleep, when your schedule flips back. If you eat an extra 500 calories on your "long" day, log an extra 500 calories worth of deficit on your "short" day.

Eat during your waking hours. So for you that would be nighttime.

My fiance works nights as an RN - when he's on nights, he works 3 nights of the week (not all consecutive) and lives "like a normal person" the other 4 days. He eats when he's awake, no matter what time it actually is. I think that's the only way for you to have any sense of normalcy.
