No one? Not even a similiar scale.

I read the instructions, googled etc the main reason I bought these scales was for the body fat estimate.

But seems all I can make it display is weight.

    Kind of disappointing.

For my scale that measure body fat, I set my profile and then I step on it gets my weight then i stay on 20 seconds longer and it tells me.

That's exactly how I thought this would work. That's what it sounds like in the instructions but the screen turns off.

Just stood on it an counted out 30, nothing.

Just can't see anything else I can do. Maybe it's faulty

Does it pair to your phone? I have a Withings scale and had it for three weeks just a very expensive scale until I could pair it with the phone and now it gives me a bunch of measurements.

I had a withings scale...it would never "recognize" me....so I am still using my old cheapo digital scale. Stupid technology...

Yes! I have the same one.

The silver part that conducts came off of mine so it doesn't tell me hydration or anything anymore.

Make sure you are barefoot and standing on the silver part and it should give you those numbers

I don't remember anything super specific. It's been over a year since that part came off.

I think you have to program yourself (P1) and tell it height and gender. Then you have to stand on it for a few seconds for it to register.

    Are there instructions?

Yeah I set my self up. Height an weight etc followed instructions as far as I'm aware.

Part of setting your self up, does that involve an initial weighing?

I think there is an initial weight. I know it took me a few days to get it all figured out.

Scale displaying anything else is about as useful and accurate as measuring ml on a food scale.

I.e. it's not of any real use. Just stick to a normal scale and potentially measurements.

I am not after 100% accurate measurements. Hell I don't even get an accurate weight measurement on scales I have used. Often weigh my self 6+ times and get 3-4 different weights.

It's all estimates or has some degree of inaccuracy.

Your weight will fluctuate based on a lot of factors, if a body fat reading fluctuates how is it any worse?

I will have another look over the instructions. Maybe I missed the weigh in during set up. I was wondering how it recognised people if all you give it is age and height etc

Thanks for the help. It was the initial weigh in that I missed.

I don't think it mentioned that at all in the instructions.

31% body fat. Seems high but I'm more after a downwards trend than a accurate amount.
  • I am waiting for this type of such thing. Is it good for our body???

The body fat measurement is totally inaccurate on these kinds of scale and can be out by a huge percentage

Hydration, callouses can all affect the reading

The only use is over a long time of tracking eg months to see if the general trend is downwards

It's not inaccurate in the sense that "weight" is ...it's inaccurate in the sense that it measures bio-electrical impedance and not BF ...it's a ridiculous number

Mine also gives me a BF reading of 31% by the way ...LOL

Yeah I realise it's inaccurate. I was after a new scale. Why not get one that measures bf% so I can see if there is a trend over time.

31% seems fairly accurate for me. I had someone do calipers on me and got 27%

    Maybe a little high.

I'd be tempted to get a dexa scan or body pod reading and then equalise that with your scale

I reckon my scale is out by about 7%

The only reason I want to know my BF is so I can get my protein minimums right tbh ..the rest I can check on by naked jumping jacks in front of a mirror
