You can do it. Take time and commitment to logging and getting some exercise.

I started MFP at 50yo weighing 232lbs. At that time, all my joints ached, I was constantly tired and I got winded "climbing" up the 3 porch steps to my front porch.

Today, 2 years later, I'm 50lbs down (still have 20-40lbs to go), but I have energy, don't hurt (except for DOMS - and that's a good thing :) ), can walk for miles, have completed several 5K runs and am now training for a 150mile, 2-day cycling road ride. And I have more confidence than I have had in a LONG time.

Check out my profile; if you like what you see, send me a friend request.

And good luck, this new lifestyle is awesome.

Just remember that it takes time. The weight didn't come on over night and it won't come off overnight. I think so many people get discouraged because they don't see huge results right away.

You'll have bad days and good days. Some days you'll eat more than you wanted and some days you'll just nail it. Don't quit because of one bad day or a string of bad days. As long as your good days outweigh the bad you'll do fine.

Don't try to do it all at once. Take baby steps.

Good luck! I have faith that this time you will accomplish all of your goals :D
