I love this song and when I listen to it I realize it isn't other people telling me these things but usually I'm saying it to myself! I also love F-ing Perfect by P!nk but the lyrics are a little much for here...LOL!

I feel this is relevant to me lately, with all the effort I've been putting in to try and get my final papers in for college coursework. The week before last week, I came down with a fever (which appears to be due to walking pneumonia I picked up from my brother, as I'm still coughing like hell) during the worst time possible. I'd had plans and a schedule worked out for getting my three 10 page papers finished, but when I got sick I couldn't function for four days straight. I've been working my butt off this previous week to try and get them all finished, and I'm hoping that it hasn't been a lost cause, because I'll be turning them in tomorrow, while they were due Tuesday and Friday last week. Despite that my mom was asking why I was even bothering still with the first one when the grade for it dropped a letter per day after its due date on Tuesday, I decided I wanted to put my best effort into it with the given pressure, so that I can at least prove to myself I could do it. Today I finished the first two papers and have one more to go that is 8 pages, due tomorrow by 1 PM.

I feel like the lyrics from this song are kind of reflective of my efforts as of late (there's more to it than just this story but I'll spare you the drama there :yawn:). Basically, I'm giving things my best shot, regardless of whether I succeed or not. What've I got to lose aside from social life and sleep anyways? haha

There's another one by the same artist during which I felt I could relate to the chorus. I've been feeling a bit vulnerable with where I am lately, and my boyfriend has been my anchor to keep me from falling apart. We couldn't so much as talk on Friday, our first year anniversary last week, and he's just been totally understanding of my predicament.

I know that for some, rap isn't the most appealing music. Sometimes it isn't for me. I recommend checking out these two songs. The latter is actually not so much "rap" as you'd think coming from Nicki. I was happy to find she can also sing nicely
