One of those days...do I stay on track? Or relax?

last week, Sunday through Wednesday, I binged a lot. So I finally got back on track! I've been camping but I've managed to eat at my calorie goal Thursday through Sunday!
Today is my last day of camping...and we are going out to dinner for a special occasion. I feel like it's going to be impossible to stay within my calorie goal, even with a 2 mile run. I really want to just eat whatever I want and enjoy my day, but I am going to Hawaii the end of April and I still have a few pounds to lose.
I guess I just need to hear someone tell me that I'll be fine, or that I need to stay strong and it's not worth it!!

It's a personal preference. I was sick all weekend and ate whatever my husband got for dinner. He can't cook so it was takeout. Today's my birthday but I'm not going to go crazy wild but will indulge a bit.0

If you decide to eat whatever you want, that's one thing. But don't do it because you think it is "impossible" to go out to dinner and meet your calorie goal. I think it probably would be possible. Either way, own your decision and understand how it impacts your goals.0

You can eat with moderation at this dinner. I don't think eating well at the dinner will wreck anything but maybe you should eat a little less within the next few days to make up for it. Or work out longer, more hours at the gym.0

i eat out all the time and manage to stay within my calorie goals the vast majority of the time. And when i DON'T - its a choice- either i wanted a particular meal or I didn't feel like exercising or a combination of the two or something else altogether, but it was my choice.0

My 2 cents -
Eat whatever you want. One day going over your calorie goal isn't the end of the world. Now I'm not saying you should eat 4000 calories all in one sitting, but being over your goal is OK!
If it's possible, eat half and save the rest - but if you have no way to preserve it and/or you're hungry, go ahead and indulge

Sorry, I'm going to go against the majority here.
I've seen you post a lot of threads about binging, about going over because you're stressed, about keeping junk food in the house and not being able to make it fit your calories, etc... Those are things we all struggle with, but from your post history it sounds like you're not winning the fight and you've had a lot of "special circumstances" to justify your going over.
Stay strong and win this battle today. Go out to dinner and stay within your goal. Walking away from a tempting situation with a win will reinforce your motivation to win the next time.
Just my opinion.

I hadn't seen the OP's other threads...but if this is the case, I agree with the above. One time things are OK but too many can completely undo your progress!

Thanks everyone! I just ran 3 miles (instead of my normal 2) and am going to maybe eat half of my dinner0

Nice job! Enjoy your dinner out and try to keep it within your calorie goal - then enjoy your victory!
