Fruit: yes or no

Among other things, I've been eating lots of fruit over the last couple of months - dropped my cholesterol from over 500 down to 260 and lost just over 16 pounds, from 193 to just under 177; and the doc says I'm no longer "pre-diabetic."
So, it's my recent experience that eating lots of fruit is GOOD for you as long as you keep the macronutrient ratios in check - that is, when I see my carbohydrate intake pushing 60%, I eat some proteins and fats to balance it out.
Besides, the vitamin C in the fruit is supposed to aid in iron absorption and it's loaded with soluble fiber that's supposed to be good for the overall cholesterol.0 -
