Hi
Does anyone have any recommendations for fitness trackers? Looking at jawbone and a few others, seems to be quite a lot of choice but really would like to use mine for swimming too!I'm in the UK if that makes any difference

I've got a Garmin Vivosmart...I've found it a bit better than the Fitbits, but that's my preference. It tracks all my activities, walking running, swimming, cycling etc. It links in with MFP, and you can also get a HR monitor for it which I might do when I get into running more.0

Dont buy jawbone its really bad , my broke after 6 weeks my dads after 30 -
If you would like heart rate while swimming you could look at the Polar A300 or V800. The Garmins are waterproof, but no heart rate under water.0

Great thanks. The Garmin reviews look good and of course it needs to link in with mfp thats a shame re Jawbone, i have heard a fee negatives about them but they look nice haha. Yeah I have a minor heart condition so having one that displays HR is a must but one that tracks my heart rate under water would be perfect!0

The Polar Loop, M400, V800, A300 are all waterproof to about 60ft. In order for a heart rate strap to be read it can't communicate via bluetooth. Bluetooth technology isnt made for that. Most activity trackers track steps, and when paired with a chest worn heart rate monitor will give you an accurate calorie burn. All Polar chest worn straps are both bluetooth and gymlink which means your gym treadmills and other equipments will automatically find your hrm. The above Polar devices also pair with MFP. When buy an activity tracker always make sure its waterproof and not water resistant. I personally like the accuracy and quality of the Polar products over the others. I have both the loop and the m400 if you want more info on them drop me a line. Another good site is http://www.dcrainmaker.com/ he does lots of product testing on all devices he has lots of great info and doesn't seem biased towards one product or another.0

That's great thanks for the info.
The Polar does look good, i was surprised jow many were only water resistant!
Going to look at the link you added. I find that's the problem with a lot of you tube reviewers now, you never know who is being bias so it's great to get a recommended reviewer!

I just read some more info on the A300 it doesnt use bluetooth to communicate to the hrm so you use it to track swimming.0
