Hi my name is Tamie and joined a month ago but didn't really do much with it until last week! It is very inspiring to see how everyone is doing and I really need to be inspired so I don't fall off the wagon again. It will be fun to encourage others to go towards their goals too! My friend Lori introduced me to this site and she continues to be one of my inspirations. There is so much on this site that I am still really trying to take it all in. Any advice you have would be great!!

I used to be very active and fit but found after I did not win the batttle, that I continually sabitoshed myself. I would lose 20 just to gain it back and more (my thought was I have done this before and it never stays off...so instead of being disappointed in myself once again lets end it now). My joints ache and well I keep telling my kids what they need to do but have not been walking the talk for along time now. I want this to be the last time I battle my food addiction and that I can learn to be happy about me.

In hopes that your stories will inspire me to continue on to a healthier and more fit me.

Thanks for having an amazing site.

:drinker: have you had your water yet??? :)

I have to take it one day at a time and drink water, water and more water!

Simple recipes that are healthy and taste good are the key. It is so much easier to go to McDonalds, but that doesn't solve the problem.

My most recent favorite recipe is broccoli and shrimp.
    This is for 1 serving.
I fry about 2 cups of fresh broccoli in 1 tbs of olive oil with a clove of garlic, pressed. (I sometimes cheat and use frozen broccoli) Maybe 5 minutes or so - put that aside. I take 7oz of frozen cooked shrimp (about 15 med) and fry them with 2 tbs of Kens Lite Northern Italian Dressing with Basil and Romano. Cook for about 5-7 min - add the broccoli to re-heat. Serve with a tablespoon of of parmesean cheese. Quick, lowfat and yummy!

Not everyone is the same... and if you did what EVERYONE else here does, you might be doing what is right for YOU! Take everyone's "advise" and "expertise" with a grain of salt (which you don't have to add to your diary, HAHA! I made a funny!)

Good morning girlie! Yep...read, read, read but only take in what you know you can do and what is good for YOU. At the end of the day, it has to work for YOU and no one else. I am glad you joined this site - it's awesome and it works.

Baby steps girlie...it takes time. That's the biggest thing I've learned over the past 3-4 years. I was always looking for a fast remedy...but...there isn't one. It takes time, hard work, and baby steps. You will get there!

    Hugs!!!
