Your body is going to eat muscle not fat, you need to eat alot more calories and dont focus on weight loss but just eating healthier.

We don't encourage or condone very low calorie diets here. Please speak to a professional, as what you are describing puts you in danger of an eating disorder.

Well, first thing you need to understand is that goal means GOAL - something to aim for, achieve, reach, not something to fall well short of, and that includes your daily calorie goal.

Eating 117 calories a day isn't going to get you what you're looking for, unless it's hospitalized for malnutrition and/or an eating disorder.

Your body needs calories to survive, and the proper number of calories to live well and be healthy. We burn calories all day long - sleeping, walking, working, exercising, sitting on the couch, doing chores, etc. To lose weight, you just need to eat fewer calories than the number of cals the body burns all day long - this is a calorie deficit.

If you've entered all your info and goals into MFP accurately and realistically, then you eat the number of cals it tells you, and bingo - you lose weight. And no need to come in way under goal in hopes of losing faster. The daily calories you're given already has you in a deficit before any exercise. This means you could eat to goal every single day, yes every single calorie, do zero exercise and you'll lose weight. If you do exercise, log it into MFP and the burned calories are added back into your daily goal to keep the deficit margin the same - eat enough to bring your NET calories to, or at least very near, your original goal.

Don't over complicate things. Your body needs fuel, calories/food is fuel. Over eat and you'll gain. Under eat and you'll have serious health issues. Eat the right number of cals, and your body loses fat, retains lean muscle, and is healthy and strong. You feel great, you look great, and you maintain the loss for good rather than stopping and starting, losing and regaining, because you can't stick to some crazy "diet" or plan that isn't sustainable.

Use MyFitnessPal to find an appropriate amount of calories to eat while losing weight and stick to it. Everyone's number is different, but for comparison, I'm 5'3, 232 lbs and my calorie goal is 1500. I weighed 250 when I started in January. If you stick to eating nearly nothing, you'll wind up worse off than you started.
