I've been an exerciser/weight watcher for many years and been pretty good at it. However since turning 50 the battle is completely different. I'd like to lose 15 pounds right now but my regular routine isn't doing anything. I work out 4 days a week including weight/resistance training. I eat a low fat/high protein diet of about 1100 cals/day. Can anyone offer advice to help me get some results? I don't know how to do much better than I already am. :( I am also a real good water drinker!

Weigh food and log calories ...all food including fruit and vegetables

Is your weight training a progressive programme?

1100 calories sounds low, I'm hoping you mean net but even then it's low

Assuming you've given enough ample time to view progress have you tried incorporating a re-feed to give that metabolism a boost
  • Hmm, I don't know what a refeed is. I've wondered if I need to up calories to 1200 at least. Also, I need help with logging exercise. I work out at Planet Fitness and use many resistance machines. I'm not sure what to call these exercises or how to log them. :( Thoughts?
