Still hungry

I never thought I'd discuss this openly, but I'm just finding it hard to stay within my goal of 1280-1350 calories per day. I'm starting this app again and I hope it helps. I'm not exercising as much as I'd like to because I can't afford a gym and my usual walking/jogging gets postponed due to weather. I'm walking to and from the subway daily. I do "home" workouts occasionally and when the weather is better, I'll walk a lot more. I'm just still hungry! How do you eat 1280 calories and feel satisfied?

You can try running stairs on your lunch hour or at home? Do those home workouts, to earn those extra calories

Then choose a less aggressive goal so you have more calories. I.e. 0.5-1lb/week goal and eat back at least half of your exercise calories. Meaning you should be logging your exercise.

    I don't do 1280 calories, never have. I've never exceeded a 1lb/week goal.

Thank you, good point. I want to lose weight now but I'm probably reaching. I might need to start out a little less aggressive as you said.

I do home workouts, too - body weight exercises can be effective, too - push-ups, squats, crunches, even dancing (particularly when no one else is home!) Living in a cooler (sometimes very inhospitable) climate definitely poses a challenge! Re: your food intake, it is hard to know whether you are getting enough based on the info you provided… I am on 1200 right now, and I am usually satisfied by having a ton of veggies and keeping my protein and fat intake high. Good luck!!!

That's really encouraging! I think I need to incorporate more veggies, protein and fat to my diet. My home work outs consist of wall sits, squats, push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks, running in place. I will try dancing next! Great idea. Thank you!
