Are you eating enough during the day? Drinking enough water?0

Drink a glass of water before your meals and eat slower0

Yes, admittingly more calories should be at breakfast, I drink water throughout the day though. Part of problem is I get hungry about 4-5 hours after lunch, but hate to add snacks that increase calories for day., that and I enjoy a good sized dinner even if it's not the best distribution of food..0

As I read this I'm about to walk into a meeting where pizza will be served. I ate dinner before I got here but I'm suddenly starving. I have 36 calories left for the day. Wish me luck0

Instead of fighting your normal hunger pattern maybe try to modify it more gently. Allow yourself a 800 calorie dinner but make sure to eat more throughout the day so you aren't starving. Ideally you should never be REALLY hungry.
How many calories are you allowing yourself?0 -
It helps me to have multiple parts to my dinner, and eat through them one-at-a-time. Like, if I have a 6" sub, I'll cut it in half and eat one half. Then in like 10-15 min, I'll eat the other half. Drink a bunch of water or whatever drink I have, wait a little, eat the chips that came with it (or fruit, or whatever). Then in like an hour, if I'm hungry, have a 50 cal cheese stick. Snack on low-cal things mindfully. I can't eat 6 small meals OR 3 set meals--I just mindfully eat when I'm hungry. It is important to listen to your body when you're hungry--I overate by 1,000 calories the other day when I'd been starving for days. It seems to have pushed me out of a small plateau, actually.
You're in charge of your stomach and body, but you gotta work together. It can also help to think, am I actually hungry? For me, if I'm not hungry enough to snack on veggies, I'm not actually hungry--just craving. Good luck! You got this!0 -

Whatever mfp recommends for my weight, so now it's around 2300.0 -
I find that late night eating is one of my guilty pleasures, so I find things to distract myself, even if it is just walking to the shop to buy a can of diet coke, or doing a load of crunches. Also, not keeping food I can overly binge on in the house (I tend to do small, regular shops) as I know that if it is there, I WILL eat it!0

Then maybe try splitting your calories in half and have a 1150 calorie dinner. I think you need to listen to your own rhythms. You don't want to be miserable.

Also fatty foods like peanut butter and avocados and nuts will fill you up more. Fat stays in your system longer. I love cheese too but the saturated fat is a bit high. But I do get a lot of flavor from just an ounce or two.0
