Brush your teeth, go to bed earlier... just don't eat anything at all after dinner if it tends to spiral out of control.

Just make the right choice even if its several times a night.

7pm want cookies eat a apple
7:30pm want chips eat 100cal bag popcorn
8pm want ice cream eat strawberries and fat free cool whip

Yes it's overeating but it's at least it's not junk calories
Log food in always no matter what you eat and the next day you will realize your mistake and that helps me going forward.

Lower your carb intake because eating too many carbs produces food cravings, and up your fat intake to feel satiated enough not to overeat. My cravings are gone since going LCHF.

Eat every meal at the kitchen / dining room table. Focus on your food. Eventually food becomes about nourishment.
Develop some tools for stress like deep breathing.

I have this same issue and have done a few things to help....

    1) I no longer eat in front of the TV at all
    2) I eat a lot of good fat at dinner ( like avocado or olive oil on salad)
    3) A nut like almond or walnut in low fat/fat free yogurt with a type of fruit (blackberry, strawberry, pineapple, kiwi) as my own healthy parfait

    Good luck luv!

Deal with the stress or at least find alternative ways of handling it. Talk to a friend, relax, go for a walk. The teeth brush or water is a good option.

You cna also have go to foods as well as allocating calories for late at night. I have 70% of mine in the evening.

This sounds crazy but when I work out in afternoon I'm too tired to think about food later. I don't eat after 6 then sleep by 10

I was the Queen of late night snacking and doing this really helped. Little by little I didn't crave the snacks any more - and I stopped. And YES log it ALL.
