J.M. Ripped in 30 vs. 30 Day Shred

I'm kind of new here, but I've seen a lot of discussion on J.M's 30 Day Shred and her Ripped in 30 DVD's. I really don't need to loose much weight- maybe 3-5 lbs would be nice, but I also really want to tone up. I try to work out as much as I can, but I think we can all agree that gets boring after awhile. I have a beach trip coming up in July, and I just want to drop a few lbs and tone up. Which DVD would be better for me? Especially if I'm getting my cardio at the gym by doing at least 45 minutes 4-5 times a week.

I'm leaning toward buying the Ripped in 30, since 30 Day Shred sounds like more of a weight loss thing. However, I don't have any experience when any of her DVD's...so any advice would be great! Thanks!

Weights are not bad.. increasing your muscle also increases your metabolism. :) I dont have the Ripped in 30 dvds.. so I cant say much. I do have a lot of her videos though, and I can say I really enjoy 30 day shred.

You can tone up just as much with the shred. you get what you put into it. it's weights cardio and abs all together. I like any of her dvd's though

Both videos are very similar, however i like ripped in 30 better because it is a little longer and faster paced. She does become a little annoying with her commentary but it is a great workout. They both would definitly tone you!

I have the 30 day Shred and will say that is a great one to tone up with. You will definitely loose inches, not so much weight. I think I stayed the same, but I know I gained muscle.

I bet that any of Jillian Michael's videos would tone you up.... you might want to look at the "No More Trouble Zones" also
  • I love the 30 Day shred but I agree I have lost more inches than I have weight with it! But I combind it with the SBD and I am losing both!!
