25#!!

I have struggled with my weight my entire life. I was a 150# 5th grader. Through my teens I went from one extreme to the other. Either I ate like 2 men, or lived off chicken broth and Diet 7up. As a young adult, I after a break up I exacted revenge by getting down to 160# (at 5'6", and a large, muscular frame, I was bangin'!) by living off of drugs, booze, and the occasional can of chicken noodle soup.
Two years ago, with the help of MFP, and going to the gym 5+ days a week, I lost 38# and felt better about my body than I think I ever have. Then I "rekindled" an unhealthy relationship with my daughter's father. I gained it all back, plus some, and felt horrible about myself. The relationship ended.
Now I'm 30. I have two beautiful daughters who give me more joy than I ever imagined possible. I have a rewarding career in pediatrics. My body does amazing things every day. It carried two beautiful babies. It allows me to care for my wonderful patients. It never gives up, no matter how tired or beat down I feel, I can still put one foot in front of the other and do what needs to be done. I should be able to look in the mirror and see that kick-*kitten*-ness (yes, its a word, I said so).
So at the beginning of the year, I decided to log back in to MFP and give it another go.
Most of my old friends "unfriended" me. After a year of no activity, I don't blame them. So I've only used it to track my food, and log my weight. I've lost a little weight here and there. My clothes have started feeling a little looser. Patients and co-workers have commented on the difference they're seeing. As of today, I have lost 25#! I still have about 30-40 lbs to go, but dammit, I'm doin it!
Feel free to add me if you want some positive support!
