edited November 15 in Introduce Yourself
I'm a 5'7" tall, 173lb, 32 year old female. I am actually on my 14 day, I believe, logging streak. I decided to introduce myself. I have recently stopped the ketogenic diet, not because it wasn't working, but because it was a lifestyle I knew I wouldn't be able to sustain. Now I am trying to do calorie restriction and meeting my macros along with exercise. Hopefully this will work.

Helloooo . I'm guessing that plan will work. But for what?

    Have you tried IIFIYM?

If you commit, really commit. It will definitely work. Like you said, it's a lifestyle. Welcome to it and good luck. Every day you commit to healthy eating choices and get that workout in, just remember that "you are better than were yesterday, but not as good you will be tomorrow." That has brought me so far in this journey. Always remember...it will hurt. It will take time. It will require dedication. It will require willpower. You will need to make healthy decisions. It requires sacrifice. You will, at times, need to push your body to its max. There will be temptation. But, I promise you, when you reach your goal, it's so totally worth it.

Calorie counting works. If It Fits Your Macros probably works too. I've only experienced success with calorie counting. Otherwise, I'm crap at estimating how many calories I've eaten and how many I'm burning. MFP is great cause it takes the guess work out without restricting my food choices. I was on a different website before I found this one and I've lost 40lbs over the last 12 months.

I have never calorie counted before and sometimes it drives me crazy. However, I'm not the person to easily give up. Hopefully I will see results. As of lately, my body is trying to readjust to eating over 30g carbs.
