iPhone step counter and runkeeper double calories

Hi,
I use MFP on an iPhone 6 and use the built in step counter on the iPhone (the M7 chip thing). I also use runkeeper for when I go running. Runkeeper syncs with MFP. When I go for a run, runkeeper sends the calorie count to MFP which works, but will MFP also counter step calories from the iPhone chip, therefore doubling up the calories for my run session? Anyone know?

I have iPhone 6, use the built-in step counter and also use RunKeeper. I'm now often times getting doubled exercise entries on MFP after my Runkeeper data comes in. I think my problem may be that I was letting Runkeeper write to both the health app and to MFP, and so MFP was getting the same data from two sources? I don't know... I think this is close to what you're asking, but maybe not exactly. I would also note that, in my situation, it's clear that doubled exercise activities are being logged, but my step counter (a separate line item on my MFP diary) always zeroes out the calories that were previously estimated for the day as soon as Runkeeper data comes in.

I use the health app and a garmin 220 with garmin connect. MFP only adds to the run data for additional calories based on calories above the run. It does show it as too entries but it is on top of the run time. Like I have a 400 calories for an hour run that was nearly 8000 steps and an additional 151 calories for measured activities. Some days that additional calories is 0 if I am sitting after my run. Not sure if there is a way to get health app and runkeeper to do the same thing since I have no idea why it does it. I was worried about it so I kept an eye on it and would have turned off the health app sync if didn't adjust the information. I think it basically adds calories above what garmin adds. So if my run is say 400 calories and my steps would be 700 calories (including the run) it adds 300 calories so it won't go above the highest of the two.
