Hello everyone,
Like most people I have gone through life never really happy with my body. Teenage girls can be particularly cruel so even in the days that I was not THAT big I always felt it.
Again, like for most people I can probably date the start of my "issues" from my teenage years, there are a few members of my family that have struggled with eating disorders, so talks of dieting and exercise were always rather taboo. Within my friendship group at school a close friend fell victim to anorexia and again, talks of diets and exercise were off bounds. The result? I feel as though I missed out on some general knowledge and important knowledge when it comes to nutrition and health.
Since then I have tried to educate myself (heck at one point I couldnt even tell you what foods are good for different vitamins!)
I have never dieted and I am not looking to start a diet, I am looking to change my general life style in a more healthy way. I joined a gym last year and was attending regularly with a friend, whilst the results were good I think we somewhat over did it and nowadays that friend no longer goes to the gym and I have struggled with motivation of working out alone.
I could really do with some fresh motivation and new ideas, this is the first time I have turned to trying something like this so Im keeping my fingers crossed it helps!
