So how can I get rid of my belly fat? What should I eat? And how long does it take to see changes?

well you can't spot reduce...eat what you want just stay in a deficit. Try to eat food nutrient dense tho as that food keeps you feeling fuller longer....ie high protein, high fibre. To see changes all depends on how aggressive you want to be.

I prefer a slow but steady loss so 1/2lb a week for me is good now...when I started it was 1lb a week which gave me lots of calories to eat (about 1600 a day) and I never felt hunger.

Consider getting into weight lifting as well as that helps with getting rid of fat and keeping muscle. Cardio is good as well for getting extra calories to eat.

Read the stickies in this forum. Eat at a caloric deficit, move more. You can't pick where you lose fat from when, your body does that. Belly is the last to go for me. There are no miracle foods, so eat things you enjoy, try to focus on "real" food, but treats are fine, too, weigh, measure and log everything. As for when you'll see results,e very one is different. Use the scale, the measuring tape and photos to track progress. I swear my first 8 pounds lost came from my face, so there was a huge difference there, quickly, but less so other places.

Before giving any further advice ... have you started eating a healthy net caloric total yet or are you still eating far too little as you were in early March?

There are no special foods that promote weight loss. Weight loss comes from eating less calories then your body burns in a day, which is a complicated equation. Work on establishing healthy exercise and nutrition habits, and your body composition will change over time as a byproduct of your new behaviors. The rate at which you lose weight/body fat is going to depend on your habits and your metabolism. I know lots of people that see changes within a couple weeks, and I know people where it takes a couple months before they see any significant changes. Here, listen to this podcast. It's quite excellent: http://www.biolayne.com/podcasts/physique-science-radio-episode-2-flexible-dieting-vs-clean-eating/

Yes I did finally, I found some great food with lots of calories and I'm feeling so happy now. I eat like 1200 -1500 calories a day!
