Getting my teeth taken out tomorrow and so worried that I'm going to fall off track... My last week of the 30 Day Shred was literally next week and so upset that I won't be able to finish... Also worried about appropriate protein intake and what not since it might just be liquids the first day or two. What are your experiences?

Just survive and heal and then get back to your routine. There is a protein-heavy clear ensure product you could try if you are worried, but honestly a day or two is not going to throw you off much.

You will be able to finish 30 Day Shred - just because it takes longer than 30 days or you have to skip a week doesn't ruin anything. You'll still finish.

As far as eating, do what you can, track it as best you can, but focus on rest and healing more than anything. A fews days off your normal routine will not negatively affect anything.

I had my wisdom teeth out years ago, and was not exercising or counting cals at the time, so no experiences to share in that regard, but I will say that to avoid a dry socket, don't suck, swish or spit and liquids! Smoothies are fine, just don't use a straw, don't swish when you rinse your mouth, and don't forcefully spit after rinsing, just lean over the sink and kind of let it fall into the sink. Messy, but better than dislodging a clot and getting the dreaded dry socket!

It depends on how you get your teeth removed. If you are lucky like me, they can just be yanked out and you can eat solid food pretty quickly after that. If you have to have them extracted, it will take you longer to heal and you have to eat very soft foods for awhile.

I'd ask your dentist about this honestly. I went to Six Flags two days after I got my wisdom teeth removed and I was just fine.

I had an impacted lower wisdom tooth removed a year or so ago. It was awful. I didn't eat for three days other than water and rice pudding.

When I had my top two out however I was eating within a day. So depends on severity of the extraction. Lol

Defo take heed of advice above. Dry socket is a *kitten*!

Food shopping in about 30 minutes... pudding, jello, apple sauce, protein shakes, mashed potatoes, yogurt, soup and oatmeal... My tummy is twistin' and a turnin' but thanks for the advice guys. I'm getting all 4 taken out so I'm pretty sure I have to be put under.

Of course you will need to be put under. Do you have instructions from the oral surgeon? If you are not sure what to do to be ready, call the office and double check.

You will be off track for two or three days, but you should be fine after that.

Your food list looks good. You likely won't be super hungry, so consuming fewer calories makes up for taking a couple of days off.

I had all three of mine done under local anaesthetic. How I wish they'd punched me out with a hammer instead.

You will hardly be able to eat anything, so don't worry. I got all four out, under local anasthetic in one go, and I bled a lot afterwards. I survived on cold gazpacho soup, unsweetened apple sauce and yogurt for the first two days. My first real meal was a few very overcooked raviolis without sauce. Do not, under any circumstances exercise till your stitches are out. Follow all the advice of your dentist. Your heart will remember how to pump during a workout after this little break, do not worry about that.

It's weird because I was told not to eat tomatoes because the acidity can cause dry socket.

I only had two but it still took 10 days to be able to eat even cooked broccoli, because it hurt too much to chew. I survived though... ricotta, yogurt, cheesecake (made a protein cheesecake), pancakes, bananas, rice pudding, pasta, butternut squash soup (room temperature), mashed potatoes and carrots, then I added sausages and ground meat.

I made my protein shakes with ricotta to add some substance to them too. But don't use a straw!!!!

I was under my calorie goal the day of surgery but definitely hungry the days after. I didn't exercise but went for walks, if I remember correctly (even though I looked like a hamster).

For me the biggest issue was the stiffness of my jaw - I couldn't even open my mouth wide enough to put a teaspoon in for the first day or two. I had to lick the chocolate baby food off the spoon like a cat.

I basically lived on chocolate baby food, chocolate ice-cream, yoghurt, and mashed potatoes for a week. I lost three kilos when I had mine out, ha!

But even when I was eating things like the ice cream and the baby food etc, it was still only adding up to 600-800 calories a day. The first couple of days I was too miserable to be hungry, the next couple of days it was ouch eating hurts. 0/10, would not recommend as weight loss method. ;)

I wouldn't do that again. You shouldn't be riding roller coasters days after a surgery even if you feel fine. Next time you might have some complications!
