Slimming world or calorie counting???

Joined back to slimming world last week, stayed on plan and I lost all of 1/2lb starting to wish I hadn't gone back!! Maybe I should stick to counting calories?? Argghhhhh really finding it hard, I even saw a photo of me at work and I look humongous :-( that should be a kick up the bum!!! I just want to cry!!!!!

    I hate Slimming World. It does me no good and I ALWAYS gain weight on it. I like MFP. Free to use. Easy to do and getting results. :)

    How much have you lost on MFP aimeerace? And how long has it taken you?

    I find I am better off with a more 'controlled' approach to weight loss. When I did slimming world I just went wild; eating packets of pasta just because I could! Never the way to learn a healthy relationship with food. I enjoy weight watchers (counting again!) but am using MFP as I am living in Colombia for a couple of years and they don't have WW here. I enjoy knowing that a Cadbury mini egg is 40 calories. That is 4 mins hard graft in the gym. Not much but when you add in a Mars bar, glass of wine and a takeaway it is suddenly soooooo easy to see why I was gaining weight. I like knowing that if I want to have a little but of a splurge, then if I get myself to the gym and earn the extra calories I can enjoy it and know my weight won't be affected.

    OMG you have to pay for that??? WTF??? A plate "as full as you like" BS. I did the free personal profile thing... TOTALLY NOT PERSONALIZED AT ALL. Generic answers to tout "hey we're better than that other diet you gave up on!"
