im sticking to my 1200 calorie target a day easily, sometimes only use 1000 , but when I got weighed today I have put one pound on, it's upset me, anyone any idea why? I walk daily and swim once a week, yesterday took the kids to the zoo and walked miles, yet I have gained weight

Could be retaining fluid, could be hormonal, you say you got weighed, did you eat or drink beforehand? If you did, the weight of that food/drink would have been added to your weight...

No I weigh first thing in a morning, before I eat anything

    You aren't logging properly

    You're due on or ovulating

    You've just switched up exercise

You've eaten more sodium than normal

    Weight loss isn't linear

How often do you weigh? I now weigh daily, and this morning I am almost three pounds heavier than yesterday. I did not eat 1500 kcal in excess, actually I ate 1200 kcal net, at a 450 kcal deficit. It's just water, please be patient and stick with it. Just be sure to measure al the calorie-dense stuff meticulously, because those foods may trick you if you just guess the amounts.

Yip...this! Do you log calories burned through exercise? And are you eating any of these back?
If you open your diary we could take a look and see if something is standing in your way x

I weigh in every 3 days, I'm not ovulating, I am very accurate in logging everything I eat,

    So you weigh everything

And you choose entries on MFP database with lots of care knowing that a large number of them are suspect, and you cross-check them

Good ..that's what you need to do

It could still be any of the other reasons

    This for sure.

My weight can fluctuate anywhere between 5-8 lbs during any given month due to hormones (TOM), sodium intake, and water weight. No big deal. The scale is not the end all be all of weight loss. Taking measurements, or even tracking progress with pictures is a much better way to go. If you are going to weigh yourself, do it once a month at most on the same day at the same time.

I see a few cup measured entries or "5 medium sized" entries. For best practice in food logging accuracy, you're best to weigh any solids on a digital food scale and measure any liquids with measuring cups.
