I last logged in about a year ago and I see I had lost 20 pounds. Well that's nice. Of course I put them all back on. Clearly it's time to get serious again. My sciatica is acting up, I'm tired all of the time, and I hate my appearance. Plus, I'm pre-diabetic. So it's back to logging every thing I eat. I generally eat really well but I must admit these last few months I've been eating horribly. Fast food at least once a week. Lots of sweets and carbs. And after giving up Coke Zero I went back to drinking it almost exclusively.

So for the past few days I've been weaning myself off the Coke, and eating clean. I've already lost 3 pounds (water weight, I know), but the thing is....I can't stop thinking about food. That's the reason I stopped logging here last time. Food was becoming an obsession. I couldn't stop thinking about what I was going to eat and what I could eat. And now, after having had a healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack, I'm still thinking of all of the food that I could be eating right now. There are Pop Tarts in the kitchen (I have a 4 year old and a husband who is not on board with my clean eating lifestyle) and Pringles and ice cream and chocolate. And I'm not hungry at all but I still can't stop thinking about it. So I drink some water and try to distract myself and think about what I can make for supper with my remaining 435 calories for the day.

And tomorrow is Easter and there is going to be Easter candy galore. Seems doomed. But I am determined and I have been described as a wee bit stubborn so here we go....

It's so hard when others aren't onboard! Every goal is easier when it's shared. I'm back after a couple years myself. I lost almost 50 pounds but have been able to keep it off, however, my fit is turning into flub so the weight will follow! I have 22 pounds until my goal weight. I put people in my life who would support me and fed my family what I was eating. I made foods for my family I didn't like so I wouldn't be tempted when they wanted other things. I don't like chocolate so I bought chocolate desserts. I don't like doritos or pretzels so that was a common snack. Think of foods they'll eat that you won't and add that into your menu with the healthy food items.

Good luck to you!! Tomorrow is Easter. Cheat days are okay sometimes. Just remember how you'll feel when you go bed after eating something though. Moderation!

I was the same at first. Always thinking about food. It is easier now. I preplan my meals at the beginning of the day so I already know what ill be eating. I leave bout 200cals for little extras.
