Question on how the App calculates work.

Apps pretty easy to use, however the 'How active part' is pretty vague. I currently weigh 320lbs and i've just started a new job as a Greenkeeper on a golf course. To put it simply, my step counter reckons I did 24,000 steps today at work as I walked around the course while raking about 40 bunkers. This type of physical activity is going to be the norm and by god am i suffering for it, in a good way.
My question is how accurate is the 'Active' part (I put Active for now, although im wondering if Greenkeeper is classed as Very Active) and do I need to put the walking in separate or?

Get a fitbit or similar and synch it to MFP then you don't need to worry about accuracy as it will auto-adjust your calories0

You can also sync your Smartphones to MFP, if you carry it in your pocket.
I know a lot of us do.
Also, there are many watches on the market now that track activity.
I have one and it's within 50 steps of my MFP calculator on steps.0
