Started the 30 day shred but have no idea how to count the calories I burn. Looked into bodymedia but a little pricey for me right now is there another way or a product that may be a little cheaper that I can find at walmart or target?

for the 30 day shred, i think most people use the circuit training (general) under cardio.

Get a good heart rate monitor that uses a chest strap. I highly recommend the Polar FT4. It comes in pink too. Cheapest place I got it was Best Buy for $85. Based on what I have read, calories are measured in HBPM. So far, it's been working.

I bought my Heart Rate Monitor with chest strap at Walmart for $48+tax. Sportline SX is very easy to use and it will count all the calories burned, plus has alarm to maintain your workout at the burning zone you select; for example FAT BURNING ZONE, which is between 65% and 75%. It works great. I bought 2 of them; one for my wife and one for myself.

    Good luck!

I have a Polar FT7 that I bought for $120 at Academy. I think this was money well spent. I love my heart rate monitor.
