So i've had 2 c sections. I know its hard to get my abs back, but any moms out there who've had c sections find it hard to rid the tummy?? Any tips...I'm not expecting a 6 pack, but at least making it tone, and focus on shedding that part of the fat away..thanks ladies

I had three c-sections in four years and I HATE the pooch that was left behind. I've been running, doing Zumba, and doing some circuit training and it's helped a little, but not a ton...

I've had 4 c-sections. It has been very difficult for me to get that 'ledge' to go smaller. My last c-section was 9 months ago. While I have lost weight all over my body, I still have that pooch. I do a lot of 'core' strengthening exercises. It helps, but honestly, I was never able to get rid of all of the skin above my section line. We will see how it goes this time.

I have had 2 c-sections as well after 2 regular deliveries. My abs are much better since I started here in Jan. of this year. As for tips, it's really 80% what you eat 20% exercise. You can't exercise away a bad diet. That being said I don't eat just plain, 'clean' foods I have anything in moderation, but I'm not striving for a six pack just fairly flat abs. I also do circuit training 3 times a week, and cardio 3-4 times a week, ab work typically 4 days a week. I drink 8+ glasses of water a day (not counting this weekend I wasn't feeling well) and 2 cups of coffee. Also watch your sodium and sugar levels as that plays a big part as well.

Different things work for different people so try a few things for a week or so and see what works best for you. Good luck!

I would also like to know as well...I know that its gone down drastically with running and doing some situps but I wonder if it could ever get hard or hardly visible to see. All I know is that I will always have these stretch marks and I would have it over again for my kids :)

Ha! Well when your child is losing oxygen inside you kind of don't have a choice. Ignorance is bliss for you I guess :)

Okay, I've had 3 sections. Losing body fat is good, pilates though is FANTASTIC!!! Get a DVD (or look OnDemand) and go for it 3-5 days a week. Add in some yoga too if you want. Plank work also. Anything to work your core. Having a baby changes your body though. For me, pilates (and running or speed walking ) gets me closest to where I want my body to be.

I've had 4 c-sections. I also have something called Pelvic Adhesive Disease. All of my internal organs are essentially scarred together from the sections. After my fourth section, I had quite a lot of problems, resulting in my scar opening back up THREE months after delivery. Even my OBs were freaked out.

I NEVER would have guessed that it would be possible to get rid of that nasty pooch, given my issues, but I can tell you that it can be done. I'll probably always have a little bump around the scar area, but the pooch I thought would last forever is gone. I've busted my *kitten* for three months and eaten clean and the results have been awesome. If anyone wants to see, I'll put the pic in my profile for a little while, but I'm not posting it on the open board since I'm in my undies LOL. Friend me if you want to see it!

I know, I couldn't help myself. I actually give women all the credit in the world for giving birth. If it were the other way around, I'd be a virgin for life.

I've had 3 c-sections. At my lightest (before my last baby) I was 117lbs, and still had the awful little belly. I can't get rid of it, it shrinks, but its always there.

Im about to have my 4th (less than 3 weeks away, eeeeek!), and am hoping to get slim and toned all over. Trying not to stress about the belly too much. My babies are worth it, anyway. :)

Lauren Brooks' Kettlebell DVDs. She's had several C-sections, her free stuff on YouTube is a good place to start, it got me from no core strength to pushups. Still busting through the weakness left in my body after the horrific surgery and my daughter is 5 1/2. Only got wicked smart about my nutrition a couple of months ago. My best research has led me to eat 85% Fat/10% Protein/<5% Carbs. (ymmv) Lifting kettlebells has changed my life.

    Friend me, if you want.
