I just joined. I am trying to lose 115 pounds. Ideally I would like to lose it in a year, but we'll see where I am at that point in time. I currently live in Arctic, and have lived in an ice-filled world for the last 3 years. In 31 days I am moving to the southern world of gyms, pavement and grass. I used to be athletic and participated in sports 5 days a week. I have been out of that mode for the last 9 years. I am hoping to get back into shape and lose the weight. As for right now, I am trying to monitor what I eat and at least get out 3 times a week for a long walk. I am looking forward to joining a gym and getting back into the real world. I would appreciate any help along the way.

    Tonya from Canada.

Hey, am trying to lose about 120 pounds... Things have got out of hand and I really want something good to come out of this year - I need to feel like I have some control in my life again! Any support is greatly welcomed, am still a bit unsure/nervous about the whole thing!
    Good luck everyone!

My goal is 100+. I am on day two of my journey. The support on MFP is a lot more than I expected and makes me feel like I can do anything.
