Hello,

My name is DeJa, in October of 2014 i weighed 128 pounds. I was in a car accident where I was hit by a construction truck, needless to say i now have neck and back problems. between 10/2014 and 4/2015 i have gained 58 pounds. Looking for any kind of advice on good exercises for people with neck and back problems, also an eating tips for dealing with IBS and Ulcers.

Thank you in Advance

Eat fewer calories than you burn

Consult your physio for an appropriate workout guidance, internet peeps do not have access to your medical notes

Have you worked with a physical therapist?

    Have you tried swimming?

IBS: Watch and carefully log food to find your triggers and then avoid them. Take probiotics to help manage symptoms. Be sure you have adequate fiber as well.

Ulcers: Zero soda. Ever. Reduce acidic foods and beverages and take prescribed medications religiously. Seriously, ulcers are no beuno.

As for exercise - Like a PP mentioned, we really can't help much because we don't know your history. I would say water aerobics but its a shot in the dark.

Gosh, that does not sound like fun!
You might want to look at things like FODMAPS for the IBS.
As for losing weight: use MFP and eat what it tells you to. Can you walk for exercise?

I had troubles with IBS in my early twenties. I went to the doctor and he suggested a diet plan for me. I mostly avoid a lot of dairy products and make sure to eat tons of soluble fiber. I know everyone is different though and there are different kinds of IBS symptoms, so I'd make sure to talk it over with your doctor and see what he or she thinks!
