Hey guys. So I'm currently training for the Marine Corps and I'm trying to lose this last 20lbs that will put me in my weight goal. I'm extremely active. I workout everyday for around an hour. I haven't logged anything yet because I just made this account but I wanted to know if any of you had advice on how to lose the last little bit.

Hey I am new here too! I am also trying to lose 20 lbs. CW: 135 @ 5'3 1/2. I'm also active but I can't lose weight. My friend told me that I just have to lessen the food I eat because its what matters most in weight loss, 80%diet, 20%exercise. That's what I am trying to do now. I dont really eat much veggies and fruits because I mostly eat grains, chicken and fish. But I read that it doesnt matter what diet you have whether its high protein or high carbs diet the goal is to make an imbalance (lessen the food you eat) so that you can make a weight loss. SO thats what I am doing right now. Hope that helped! If you have any questions you can always ask me further.

Just make sure you eat less calories than your body burns and you will lose weight. You first need to find out how much that amount is since it's different for everyone, but MFP's suggestion can be a good starting point. If you're not losing weight from MFP's calorie suggestion, just lower your calorie intake a bit more until you start losing.
Also, make sure to log and weigh all your food properly, I suggest buying a food scale!

    Good luck :)
