Hello to everyone! I went to the doctor today and he suggested this app. for me to try in helping me to lose weight and get in shape. I'm hoping this helps, as I seem to be lacking motivation lately. If anyone has any helpful tips, I would greatly appreciate them. Thanks!

Hey, I lacked motivation for a long time heres what helped me:
1) I did a list of my motivation/motivators (my fiance, my pets, my family, wanting to have more energy, etc.)
2) and positives vs negatives to being healthy. (I know it sounds crazy lol but it was a wake up call to read it all in black and white)
3) For me the trick was to make being healthy positive. Instead of negative talk like "I can't have this" it was more like " I can have this this and this" or "I hate having no energy"
- I tried to turn that into "I'd love to lose weight so I can have more energy".
It's all about how you look at it, your perspective. For me it really helps (I found this info out from nutritionists and eating disorder docs).
My fiance helps me to keep positive about everything and keep motivation and keep going. Supportive people in your life are so important in this journey which is one of the reasons I joined here (everyone I've met here has been great). You are taking the first step though, good for you! You deserve major kudos to just taking the insight into your life, even if it was your doc that opened your eyes.
