want this to work this time. Food is still my weakness. Emotional eating caused me to gain almost 100 pounds in a year. It is horrible. Pregnancy, bi polar, separation, birth control...desk job...all horrible contributions to my weight gain. Just had my third child lost all my weight gained while pregnant of 30 pounds. I am nursing and this makes me hungry all day long. I need to get my good eating habits back more veggies I don't care for fruit. A good thing? I drink lots of water. Ice cream is my weakness.

On the first I started 3 30 day challenges of arms abs and squats. I have done all three days and I hurt so good lol. I am horrible I have no strength except my legs but surprisingly the push-ups were easier today. Rest day for Saturday and then back at it Sunday. I am so sore but it hurts so good!!! Doing this a pound at a time.

Good luck on your journey, and keep it up with the exercise.

Just don't overdo it (talking from experience, I have been sidelined for over 2 weeks from overexerting myself, and if everything goes good tomorrow, I will be given the green light on Monday to start exercising again :) ).

Remember to do everything in moderation.

I have been where you are with the 100+ pounds to lose, I made it as far as losing about 60 before I let bad habits bring me down, now I am back to having to lose 98 pounds.

But have no fear. You CAN do this if you try.
  • Thank you. The challenges are beginners so I do modify what I cannot do. I don't want to hurt myself. Or set myself back like you said. I really hope I stick with it this time I would like to have a good journey before I hit 30 next January.

There are 2 groups ALREADY to join..one is 100+ pounds with no surgery and another is 50+ pounds to lose JUST SEARCH for these groups and join many who're active already.

For many 'morbidly obese' by the charts with metabolic disease based on carb intolerance and sugar will find a group The Low Carber Daily and 2 "Keto" groups discuss diets that eliminate these, to find better satiety and quicker weight loss.

good luck..so many thousands of posts come in daily this one will be lost soon..so find a group.

I'm new to this site too. I'm 64 and want to lose 40-50 lb. I'm just over 200 at the moment.

I've started going to the gym, ten minutes each on 4 cardio machines - treadmill, rower, cross trainer and bike, half an hour of fixed weights, ten reps of each x 3 with a 30 second rest between each set, then I go for a half hour swim, doing about 40 lengths (1km). I do this 4 times a week and just swim on the other days.

I am limiting my intake to 1200 calories per day, mostly fresh fruit and veg, a little protein and just a tiny bit of fat and carb. Alcohol is a weekend/going out only thing instead of a glass or two every night.

I've lost 3 kg in two weeks but a long way to go. We can all do this together.
