Because the good times are going to end in a blink. We only get 4 months of decent weather where I live. I am not sure if I want to deal with that anymore. Has anyone here moved primarily for this reason?

Snow is pretty for like three days before it gets filthy and clumpy and icy and becomes a safety hazard to older people. Autumn's ok but depressing because it's a clear indicator winter's coming. Crisp air is nice but that mostly doesn't exist where I live. We have 8 months of dark mornings and dark afternoons. During which time, nobody goes out. Effectively, it's like prison.

I used to like a change of seasons, but now in middle age I just want things to be sunny and comfortable and waaaaarm. Mostly sunny, though.

October, November, February, March, April, and then those 2 weeks in summer when a swim in a hill country river feels AMAZING...so I call bullcrap.

I'm in Nova Scotia, and it was still snowing this morning. I am also already dreading fall and winter.

i don't understand this at all, but whatever floats your boat.

so has anyone left canada (or wherever they live) mostly just because they don't like the weather (whether too hot or too cold)?
