Last month ended suddenly when we had to make an emergency run to North Carolina for our daughter. Lacked a few miles getting my 100 miles. Getting a slow start this month getting my head back in the routine.

    April
    8- 14.33 miles

Hey guys! Taking some days off work this week so my posting is a bit sporadic. I try not to get online when not at work which means that I am now at work... Blessed to have a job, right?! YES! (this is me refusing the negative) :p

SteveCro, I pray your daughter is ok. Slow start doesn't matter. It's the START that counts. ;)

Everybody is looking good. Spring has definitely sprung down here in the Deep South. Sleeveless tops and sandals!

jahmanrv, I couldn't agree with you more! Isn't it so refreshing to have a thread that doesn't dive into the negative before the 2nd page? And I'm so glad you are sticking with us. I know you're battling your way back and we have full faith and confidence that you will be smoking these trails right alongside the rest of us for a long time! :D

    Onward bound, Milers!!!

Oh Steve, please accept my apology... I cannot imagine your sorrow. After clicking on your profile page, I now see that you are a dad. I just glanced at the avatar and figured you for that beautiful blonde. And I have a female friend named Stevie so the name Steve as a guy's name just didn't register. Again... Wow, I'm just so sorry. I have 2 beautiful teenage sons and I guess my (and every parent's) biggest fear is having to be here without them. You and your family are in my prayers. And she really is a stunning young lady.

I dont have any words Steve. I worked in a Hospital for 36 years. I saw a lot of things I did not understand and many things that made me sad. I am so sorry. Praying for you and the family. We all need support at times...even the support of strangers like we have here... <3

Jahmanry THANK YOU for coming and sharing with us/being part of a wonderful team of people...

Today my husband and I did a bit of shopping/browsing. A slow walk but 2.25 miles none the less. I then came home and mowed the lawn with a push mower. YEP I'm tired. That walking with a push mower gave me 2.70 miles. I figure walking from the garage too the house gave me the other .5 lol so I'm gonna take it...

Still just 9.6 Exercise Bike Miles...

Would love everyone too reach at least 100 miles in at least ONE particular exercise BUT it is not necessary. You can still combine them ....

    April

    01 Wed - 3.7 km walking
    02 Thurs - 1.8 km walking
    03 Fri - 8.5 km walking + 40.52 km cycling
    04 Sat - 3.8 km walking + 35.23 km cycling
    05 Sun - 0 km walking + 40.11 km cycling
    06 Mon - 2.4 km walking
    07 Tues - 1.5 km walking
    08 Wed -

    Sub-total: 21.7 km walking (13.5 miles) + 115.86 km cycling (72 miles)

Our long, long Easter holiday gave my husband and me the chance to cycle in old familiar territory ... where we used to live. :) Miss that place!! And down here, the leaves are turned colour but there is still a lingering warmth. It's autumn. :)

    08 Wed - 7.14 km walking
    09 Thurs - 5.4 km walking
    10 Fri -

    Sub-total: 34.24 km walking (21.3 miles) + 115.86 km cycling (72 miles)

Back to chilly Tasmania. Seems like winter has already started here.

My thoughts are with you Steve.

It's been a slow start for me, but I think I am not trailing too much and should be able to reach target by the end of April - there's still time left.

As of Thursday 9 April I have added another 9.16 miles.

Love reading all your posts - helps with the motivation.

Yeah winter. :( Autumn officially started March 1 ... winter officially starts June 1. But the temperatures are dropping and most of the leaves have changed on the non-native, non-evergreen trees, and are busy dropping everywhere.

And we didn't have a summer this year. Rain, rain, rain, rain, rain. Maybe winter will be nicer than summer!!

I'm also starting to think about going to bed. I've been moving all day ... and it's 10:45 pm now. Tired!!
