My body is telling me "get your act together now!"

Couple years back I was promoted at work... Great news that has helped me and my family get closer to our goals... But something had to give. Sadly it was my motivation to make time for myself that particularly meant going to the gym. I didnt want to go and the stress with my work has only made my eating habits worse. So put them together and the outcome is person who avoids the scale and the mirror! I get sad about it because when i was in my 20's i was always so fit. I dont like how my clothes fit, my energy is non existent and my body is revolting against me. I dont feel healthy and i am convinced that it is my body telling me to get my act together before its too late. So i have gotten everything ready and i am ready to get moving on it. I know it is a long process but i know in the end it is so worth it. I just need some friends to help keep me on the right track!

My doctor drew a crying frown face on my eval paper-it was horrible! And motivating.

    To all....

However it is that we come to be 'nudged' into facing up to the fact that we are fat/unhealthy/have turned into truck tyres etc - it is good to finally take that wake up call and accept being nudged, or in some cases, kicked into 'recognition and responsibility'......

Personally, I have spent a long time saying to myself, ' I do not recognise that body in the mirror and I sure as hell not taking responsibility for it...'
But yes, I finally caved and accepted the inevitable - it really was/is mine and if I don't take responsibility for it, who will??
No magical elves live in my closets to sneak up to me at night and magnanimously transform my fat into muscle.......
    Down to us, peeps! :p

    Bless ya, whitneyrabbott. :)

You are now known to me as the white rabbit though, just due to your name. So when we message/text etc, I will be thinking white bunnies......just so you know. Better than that frown face the doctor gave you, I assure you.... :/
