    Eat at a surplus.

Just do a web search for calorie dense foods, preferable nutrient dense.

    eg.http://www.healthaliciousness.com/articles/highest-calorie-foods.php

If you have a problem with eating large portion sizes, blend things into a smoothie eg nuts, seeds, oils etc Eat full fat products.

Is this because you are recovering from an ED or because you are trying to bulk?

I'm trying ! I just began to start my gain weight journey &it's so hard to keep up with the amount of calories I need. I want thicker thighs/legs and butt so I use the leg press and do squats 2-3x a week along w other small workouts. Do you guys think working out towards the beggining of my journey is a mistake ?

    peanut butter and ice cream.

No I don't think I've ever had an ED I'm just trying to bulk. I'm very small

In that case eating at a surplus is perfect for heavy lifting, aids recovery and also fuels your workouts. Good luck!!

Im bulking at the minute too, 2 of these a day along side as much high cal food as possible:

2 scoops of protein powder of your choice
    100g oats
    1 banana
    1 handful spinach
    2 teaspoons of honey
2 teaspoons of nutella or preferably peanut butter if you like that
Add water and bled to your preferred consistancy

Around 1000 calories per shake and tastes pretty good!

Eat high calorie foods like pasta, bread, nuts and a lot of protein , what I would also recommend is a drink called Nutrament drink one or two a day it has 360 calories and a lot of key vitamins & I also heard of something called Apetamin but I never tried it before so if you want you can look into that
