Is starch the enemy of a slim figure? Then how about Asian peopl? They eat a lot of rice and noddle.

    I agree with the above.. im part asain and Rice is a massive part of our lives (but also pasta and stuff) we always way rice about 20 times to make it clean and it helps, but the main thing is CALORIES.. this is the downfall and as long as you have a deficit, it is the main thing ^.^ never quit something you love, just reduce it.~

    Eating at a surplus causes weight gain . not starch.

    I just read somewhere (too lazy to look it up) that thanks to good old American fast food, obesity rates in Asia are starting rise. I love Asian food and used their traditional diet of rice and veggies along with lean protein to help me lose a ton of weight.

    Most of my Meals are based around Rice or Pasta......i love starchy Foods! (To me, that's the thing that fills me up, not Protein TBH).
    It's eating way too many calories that makes people put on weight.

    I work for a Japanese company. At lunch they eat so much. It's always some type of rice with meay or fish. Not alot of sauces. Then they get a salad or a soup. I can't figure out how they can eat so much. They ezt small breakfast i think. Never see them eat breakfast, jusy coffee and cigarettes.

    I've eaten rice my whole life. So has my family. Lots of people in my family are overweight, but it's not because of the rice. It's because they eat more than they need to.
