So hard to eat healthy0
-
It really is especially for me because of taste and texture.0
-
I know me too. When I taste something that is really good, I can't stop eating it.0

As I read this, im eating a chocolate covered caramel

Hahaha. I had a yummy dark chocolate marshmallow egg after dinner. But then I did my pushups.0

I guess it depends on what you mean by healthy.0

I find it hard to count calories since I don't make a lot of my own meals since I live at home.. I also usually end up overestimating with similar sounding food just in case.
I think the hardest part of eating healthy is the effort to make meals, the cost (I'm poor), and the taste. Junk food just tastes a lot better most of the time.0 -
It is!! I am addicted to carbs!0

Hey, I put parsley in my vanilla protein shake in the nutribullet, and I am shocked to discover it is delicious!0

LOL I had mcdonalds for breakfast, subway for lunch, chicken, vegetables, and rice for dinner ,and talenti gelato and I hit my calorie/macro/micro goals or the day ….
no food is unhealthy or healthy, because you don't consume any one food in a vacuum. Eat nutrient dense foods, hit your macro/micro/calorie target, and fill in with what you want = healthy0 -

I am trying to introduce healthier carbs to my diet. Sweet potatoes, plantains, quinoa, and brown rice.0

Yup, it's hard at first. I did find, though, that if you are hungry enough you will eat anything and enjoy it. Keep at it!0

what are unhealthy carbs???????0 -
Yeah, fast food is just so convenient and cheap. And my 120lb roommate is always eating it, lol.
Subway, salad, and grilled chicken get old fast. But we gots to keep it up.0 -
it's really not hard to eat healthy what is hard is portion control. Contrary to some opinions steak and potatoes are healthy just not in mass quantities. you don't have to eat just rabbit food to eat healthy

If you want to eat healthy for the long term, learn to get around your kitchen and prepare a few things. There are all kinds of resources (Food Network, etc.) that give you great ideas for simple recipes to try out. Cheaper in the long run too. So many fast foods, even if you can hit your macros are loaded with all kinds of junk. Take Chipotle for example, one of the better fast food options out there. If you check out their nutritional information site, and start adding up all the stuff you might put on your burrito and order a side of their chips, it's real easy to got over 1000 calories in no time. I travel a lot and thought I was being careful ordering (salad with carnitas, black beans, fajita vegetables, cilantro-lime rice, fresh tomato salsa with 2 salsas and guac, no cheese or sour cream. About 800 calories (oops) but even worse 2500 mg Sodium. That's 200mg over the daily high sodium intake recommended for men. Eating healthy just doesn't mean hitting your macros, it's also getting all those minerals and micro-nutrients that are in fresh foods. And you will feel a noticeable improvement in your energy and clarity in thinking when you get it right...
Keep in mind like nearly everything worthwhile it is a journey of taking one small step at a time. Health is all about the long term view of taking care of yourself not just this week or even this year. Habits and tastes for certain types of food will take a while to re-calibrate.0
