Hi there, I am similar stats also. Age 49, around 230. In the US and would love an overseas pal to work with on this journey.

I turn 48 next week and I started at 277 and I've lost 100 pounds in a year using mfp. I'm still looking to lose another 20. I understand where you are. Anyone is welcome to add me. I'm a good support buddy.

Hello all.... I'm 51. Did great my first two weeks... now nothing the past two, so I'm feeling a little frustrated! I have a LOT to lose, but I'm setting small goals and meeting those rather than saying I have ____ (insert a large number) to lose. It just seems more attainable for me that way. I'm eating just at or less than 1500 calories per day and exercising, (vigorous cycling), about 4x per week for minimum of 30 minutes, but usually 40-45 minutes each time. :s - if anyone has any tips or tricks for me to try, I'd greatly appreciate it!

  • Really appreciate your responses. Looking forward to sharing and motivating. ☺️

Welcome. I am non compliant. I am 50 and 225. I sort of diet and then, go back to my lazy pizza, pasta, cheese loving self.

But, while I am in contemplation on diet, I realize that I need to make health changes. So, I make fitness goals for myself. I do a lot of yoga and walking. Diet, not so much.

But I am giving up dairy for the next month. I have given up bread. One day at a time.
