I do a hour and that gives me 17 miles, with a comfortable pace-fast enough to raise my heart but not so fast that I cant continue for 60 minutes.

Exercise bikes grossly overestimate the amount of distance one is doing, although the more expensive models with computers that measure wattage, rpm, HR, and distance come a wee bit closer.

Outside on a real bike is the only accurate way of getting the distance right on a bike.

Last week I bought myself a folding excerise bike and pedal for 30mins Attempting to cycle 3-4 times a week while watching the box. I believe I pedal at a moderate pace and start to perspire and do 11.5k About 7 miles, already my distance has increased in the same amount of time. And calories burned are about 173. There's also a pulse thingy but that seems to fluctuate so I don't really take notice of it. Hope that helps

Zero miles, a stationary bike doesn't go anywhere. :) Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

On a real bike riding on the trail I usually average 14 - 18 miles per hour so 7 - 9 miles in 30 minutes.
