So today was my last exam (yipee!) so to celebrate myself and the people on my course are going out on Friday.

I found the perfect dress in evans in a size 16 (stretchy but yipee). It is navy with structured shoulders, clingy and with chiffon sleves with stud detail on the wrist. I decided to get the 16 as there wasn't a larger one and guy some of the suck-it-all-in underwear.

They didn't have any in the shop where the dress was so I went over to Marks and Spencer where they had a huge assortment. I picked up a few different things. The high waist shorts instantly rolled down into a thick elastic roll around my belly and the slip was too long so lastly I tried the body. I picked it up and although the cup size was right I had a feeling the rest wasn't going to fit so I asked the assistant to get me the next size up, she came back with it and said "don't worry, they are really tight". I wasnt sure how exactly you are meant to get it on, there were no poppers or zips so it was an over the head job. I put my arms through, then my head, got it over my chest and then...nothing! It was stuck. The four foot long tube of elastic had rolled up and was constricting me. I couldn't pull in down any further, the bra cups flipped over and the underwiring was digging into me, I couldnt pull it back off either! It was all twisted at the back and I couldnt reach to untangle it, I bent over and tried to pull it back off but it just roller further up, now my arms were stuck up and an angle and I was getting really hot, I couldnt move my arms and thought I was going to faint so I rang the assistant bell and half fell out of the door as she opened it, she couldn't pull it off so called for another lady to help. We eventually got it off but I had cut my finger in the process (not sure what on) and got blood all over it and one of the bra straps got ripped off!! They tried to reassure me that it must have been faulty or mis-sized and they didn't charge me the £39 it would have cost!! So I went to Primark and got a much less hardcore beige 'control vest' for £4!

Has this ever happened to you??

So sorry to laugh, but I could picture myself doing the same thing. Hope you were satisfied with what you did buy. I would have gone with a skirt and top. Thanks for sharing.:flowerforyou:

Yep, i got stuck in one of those too... after much panting, sweating and a couple pulled muscles, I got it off without having to run through the store for an attendant (they never hang around the changing areas it seems)... thank goodness! But yes, the utter panic you feel and chagrin at having to get someone to help. I feel for you! I ended up with some less aggressive tummy and thigh tamer shorts, and a perfect tshirt doodad. No idea what it's called, but just smooths everything out under fitted shirts.
