How can I calculate my calories consumed from my macros?

How can I calculate my calories consumed from my macros? Based on my macro consumption below, how many calories have I eaten? mn651ryzdx0i.jpg

    You don't have to calculate it from there -- your diary page should give you your calorie total for the day.

    Carbs and protein: 4 calories per gram
    Fat: 9 calories per gram

    MFP will give you the total calories, though

    Thanks! But when I calculate it by hand, a higher number comes out than what MFP says I've eaten. Not sure which is correct though...

    I think you're over thinking it. There will always be a % of error be it the entries from the database or something else so they are unlikely to ever perfectly match. Macros are a guide they will never be perfect so you need to use them as such.

    I'm guessing it's because of fiber. Insoluble fiber is not always included in the calorie content of food, even though it is included in the carb calculation.

    It's because of rounding. If something says 4 grams of fat, it might actually have 4.3 grams or 3.8 grams or whatever.
