Dr. Jekyll vs. Mr. Hyde Pre-Workout - Thoughts?

A trainer friend of mine gave me two samples of pre-workout to try: Dr. Jeykll and Mr. Hyde. I know they are both from the same company, obviously, but I'm having a hard time researching the difference between them. From what I'm reading, I THINK Jekyll is meant to be used before more lifting-intense workouts (as it gears towards strength and pump), and Hyde is meant for more cardio-based workouts (as it gears towards increased energy). Is this an accurate statement?
Also, has anyone has tried either (or both) and what your opinions are of them?
Thanks!

I've had Hyde. I gave it away. Second worst pre-workout I've tried.0

Marketing scam. Jykell and Hyde have been around a long time and like any other supplement company, they have to come up with inventive ways to sell more product.
Pre workouts are basically a stimulant and some vaso dialating ingredients.

Optimum nutrition's pre workout is pretty good I must say!0

I like Six Star Nutrition's pre workout. I mix with V8 juice and a protein isolate0

Pre-jym from bodybuilding.com has been one of the best preworkouts I've ever taken. No crash, no proprietary blends and every Ingredient is included at a dose that's been shown in publications to enhance performance. I agree most PWOs are pretty much just a ton of caffeine and some snake oil but I respect the transparency and science backing this one0

If these work, I'm surprised they're legal! (Unless they're just caffeine. In which case, why not just have a cup of coffee?)0 -

Though legal does not mean NSF certified (safe for athletes who might be drug tested)0 -
