I was on a 1200 calorie diet for about a month and lost over 10lbs... I've been on spring break with my family this week and I decided to relax on the calorie counting. So, I jump on the scale and what do you know?!?!?! I've gained 5 lbs. So, let me get this straight.. It takes me 30 days to lose 10 lbs and only 5 days to gain 5 lbs??? This is why healthy living never works for me. I decide to take 1 week to just enjoy life and half my effort is erased. Its really depressing. I will be getting back on the 1200 calorie diet on Monday but I gotta say, it kinda feels just down right pointless!

Most... id say 3-4lb will be water weight from additional sodium. Give it a week it will be gone

I sooooo hear you!! I am in the SAME boat right now!! Worked super hard for so long to lose, and then pile it all back on in one weekend of relaxing/not counting. It can be frustrating, but it we have to keep on keepin on... it will come back off quickly (so I hope!)

I promise you didn't gain 5 pounds of fat in 1 week, it's mostly water, just go back to counting calories and everything will go back to normal. Dont give up! ;)
