Eat clean with a mix of cardio and weight training0

Never did understand what "clean eating" is. Yeah, I've read all about it, but so many conflicting opinions!!! I think washing hands is the best answer.0 -
This. Eat clean if you want by all means, but it's not necessary. Exercise isn't necessary for weight loss either, but is good for health, and can help keep you in a deficit.
Make sure you weigh everything you can with a digital food scale to know exactly how much you're eating. If you are exercising and eating back your exercise calories, be careful not to overestimate your burn - a lot of people eat back 50-80% of their exercise calories in case their burn is overestimated. This is less of a problem if you're using something like a heart rate monitor, but they're still not perfect. Be aware that weight loss isn't linear - you won't lose weight all the time. Some weeks you'll stay the same, some you'll gain. You just have to stick with it. Also be aware that everyone fluctuates day to day, so if you're 2lbs heavier one day than the next, it's likely just water weight and will be gone in a day or two (unless you've eaten 7,000 extra calories). You can reduce this effect by drinking lots of water, but fluctuations will still happen. Also have a read through the stickies in this forum, they've got loads of great information.0 -
I don't have any tips other than what's already said. So I'll give you a trick....weigh in first thing in the morning after using the bathroom. And speak nice words to your scale as you step on, he's your friend after all

Get all crisps biscuits sweets etc out of the house unless you've a lot of will power.
Make the others suffer too!!!!
Good luck.0 -
Eat less calories than you burn. Drink lotts of water. Eat foods that are low in calories but high in nutrients. Fiber is your friend
exercise (when you can/if you want too). Try to avoid too much sugar, sodium, etc. My personal experience is that my body does not do well with carbs. I eat them now and then but try to get 80% of my carbs from veggies. I stay away from the breads, cereals, pasta's, and rice because they make me bloat and actually make me more hungry a few hours after eating them. Clean eating is awesome but as others have said, not necessary. Personally, I'd rather eat a couple of bags of baby carrots with some guacamole dip vs. a bag of potato chips... more satisfying and more filling. Good luck, hope this helps. 0 -

Yah no...
Only tip I have is log consistently and accurately and use a food scale to weigh solids and measuring cups/measuring spoons for liquids.
Exercise if you want but it's not necessary.

Are you being sarcastic or actually serious? You can most definitely continue to eat biscuits, sweets, fast food, birthday cake, ice cream etc etc etc while losing weight-just make sure they fit within your calorie goals.
The trend seems to be to make this whole weight loss thing overly complicated when it's actually very simple-find the number of calories you need to have the correct deficit to lose weight. And then when you transition into maintenance find the number of calories you need to have the correct amount to maintain. That pretty much sums up the whole thing.0 -

lol
no. That will just make everyone in the house miserable unless they agree it's a good idea.
OP -
Eat what you want and stay within your calorie limit. If you're hungry, evaluate what you've been eating and see if you need to swap for something more nutritious.
